Step 1

Ok. open your background Image, which should be the pond image. You can re-size the image if you want to. No editting needed for this image.

Open your second Image, you might need to re-size. Your second should be the boat.

Step 2

Using the pen tool cut out the image from its background. You can always use any other tool that you feel suits you better. Once you have the boat image selected it should look something to have I have below.

Step 2a

Once the selection is ove the boat like the above image Go to EDIT-COPY then EDIT-PASTE

Now place your cut out (editted) boat over the pond image. You can of course place the boa any way you like on the pond.

In this next step we are going to use the bottom portion to create a blurred shadow. To do this select your bottom portion and go to Filter-Blur-Gaussian blur. and set the Radius to 1.8px

Step 5

Now adding the ripple to the pond.Upload your ripple image ( sorry the image I use in the original design is not longer available so I found this ripple). Make sure the "ripple" image is above the pond and below the boat and the shadow.

Step 5a

Now set the "ripple" image to Overlay. Using the eraser tool erase the hard edges around the pond so it blend into the pond giving the impression that its one image. To erase set the brush tool to the size that best suits your image then lower the opacity to 14%. Note ( I always add a layer mask when erasing an image. Just in case I make a mistake) The second Image uses the final result.

Step 6

Upload the " Fish" image. Make sure its above the "Pond" image and below the rest. Once you have things set, set the fish layer image to "Soft Light" Erase the rough edge for a better blend. You should have something simular the the left image.

Step 7

Upload your "Lady" image using the pen tool cut of the lady from its background. Edit Copy, and Edit paste.

Resign the lady image to better fit your design. Thats it your all done
